No surprise

We lost power again. This time for 16 hours. And it wasn't even raining yet.

I'm thinking of opening a savings account. So, when I get my utility bill for say $140, I pay them $1 each month, then put the other $139 into the savings account. I keep doing that until I move out of the house. Then, and only then, do I pay Delmarva the difference. I don't have a choice for my electric provider, but there has to be some way of F-ing with them.

PS - Rumor has it from someone who works at Delmarva: if your electric goes out at night, they wait until morning to dispatch crews. They don't want to pay overtime for night work. Nice.

Sorry you were powerless.

That (Delmarva) rationale sucks. As much as FL has its problems, every single time a hurricane hit, FPL was on the job 24/7 until the last customer had power.

Electricity is vital to everyone that depends on it and needs it. Waiting until morning, in my opinion, should never be an option.

That blows. Luckily I haven't had a problem with Delmarva, except for the high cost of energy that is. Is that something to do with your area? FYI, my power lines are buried, so the only power loss I see is a few seconds and that is rare.

Windmills. You DE folks need windmills to keep your power going.

Cute wooden clogs optional, tho.

Funny thing you should mention that because I used to work in that field. Wind energy, not clogs that is.
